Each year, the CVPS sponsors concerts and recitals. The aim of these concerts is to provide musical enrichment for the community, members and young music students.
The CVPS aspires to:
- showcase local or visiting performers
- showcase young artists
- present an annual recital for students from local music studios

CVPS Young Artist Piano Recital: Forest Benson

at the Stan Hagen Theatre.
In January CVPS held an audition for a young artist (age 16-19) to perform a piano recital at the Stan Hagen Theatre in the spring. The winner is Forest Benson!
Forest is an exceptional young pianist from Vancouver. In 2023, he won the BC Concerto Competition and made his debut at the Orpheum theatre. Also in 2023, he was awarded the grand prize at Vancouver International Music Festival. Forest currently studies at the Vancouver Academy of Music with Bodan Dulu.
Forest has an exciting program lined up featuring works by Haydn, Chopin, Scriabin and Schubert.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for youth (18 and under).
